94. ohh Skalds and Seers (new)

Sing to me, ohh Skalds and Seers
with songs of the gods

oft they are silent
i mourn for their loss

the dawn of the cross

as shadows revolve
and Yew trees
gain new masters

the plot becomes bold
as can be, you see
it’s full of natural disasters

and bastards.

more than a few
who knew

those Cistercian monks
they were a zealous bunch
taking money like honey from kings
to absolve them from sin

so sing for me songs
of the fields and the forests
where hunters kill and maidens forage
for verdant flora and fauna
as fayries take wing on the breeze
where pleas for a warm winter
are hung on a tree.
